Is the majority trend, monobloc single mixers or three-hole mixers for the kitchen?
The trend in kitchen design as a whole is for ‘less is more’ minimalism and this is a look that is often carried through to the brassware, with the mono kitchen mixer being the most popular option currently.
Damixa offers a wide range of monobloc single mixers, many of which can be interchanged with the innovative X-Change system, enabling the look of the wet area to be easily updated to match the overall style of the kitchen with a tap head able to be changed without even switching off the water supply.
However, trends obviously do come and go and we shall be watching this market carefully and should there be a call for the return of the three-hole mixer Damixa will happily oblige as we remain focused on meetings the needs of our customers.
What's the next design trend in kitchen taps?
By far the biggest trend in tap design currently is the technology that can be included behind the scenes to help homeowners conserve water. People in general are becoming much more environmentally aware and this coupled with soaring utility bills has led the consumer to really think about ways they can make savings and do their bit for green living without compromising on either the look of the products they are purchasing or their overall performance.
This is why the majority of kitchen taps offered by Damixa now come with built-in water saving features that enable the user to have control over how much water is used. Our Eco-Save device can save up to 25% of water, while Eco-Klik offers a physical resistance to full flow and Regul8 regulates flow to a maximum of 8 litres per minute. Recent changes to house building regulations have led to a marked rise in popularity of such innovations and it’s only a matter of time before they become standard in all of our homes.
How is the pull-out kitchen tap sector doing - is it making any impact yet?
The pull-out tap is certainly becoming more popular, where once it may have been considered something of a gimmick that was good to play around with at trade shows! As consumers are utilising their kitchens and workspaces much more for preparing meals from scratch there is a greater need for products such as taps that offer the kind of performance found in professional kitchens, but without the industrial aesthetics.
For example, our Arc tap features a body, arm and head that can all be individually adjusted to offer an infinite amount of settings, enabling water to flow freely in any direction to reach even the most hard to reach corners of the sink. We also offer mixers that have a spout that swivels from side to side and round up to 360º.
The Arc Mono Kitchen Mixer from Damixa features a multi-functional design, available in chrome with optional coloured accents in black, red and white, enabling the look of the tap to be adapted quickly and easily to suit the mood of the kitchen. Arc’s body, arm and head can all be individually adjusted, allowing water to flow freely in any direction. Arc is also available in a steel finish.
Answering the call for the use of angles and geometrics in the kitchen, the G-Type Mono Kitchen Mixer from Damixa is super sleek in design, with an elegant linear spout and levers that glide effortlessly backwards and forwards to operate the flow. The mixer also features a swivel spout which can be angled up to 120º. The G-Type is available in a choice of either a chrome or steel finish.
